Yes& Studio is a passionate firm of young Landscape Architects and Urban Designers working to improve the South African Public Realm. We aim to better understand the dynamic relationships between people and place and strive to design spaces that promote safety, equality and holistic ecological services in order to provide place for social interaction and inclusion, fostering healthy environments and communities.

Landscape

We believe that well designed landscapes can create opportunities for better social interactions that bring people together. Our landscape architecture is rooted in context and focuses on creating positive experiences for people alongside nature.

Urban Design

We aim to create spaces and frameworks that can be adapted over time by the people who use them. Our urban design methodology allows for our projects to benefit from the knowledge of the interdisciplinary teams we work with.

Co-Creation

We believe in the power of collaborative problem solving. Design benefits from having a wide range of inputs from communities who know their spaces best, and interdisciplinary teams that bring richness to the design process.

Street furniture

We create holistically designed, robust places that are legible, well connected and joyful to use. Our street furniture designs form part of the joy we bring to the places we create.

Architecture

Our spaces benefit from an integrated and contextually sensitive architectural approach, with small scale architectural projects in support of the public realm.
